The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, reportedly sent a letter to King Charles III expressing concerns about unconscious bias in the royal family during her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
The alleged correspondence between Meghan and Charles is thought to be one of the reasons why she will not attend the upcoming coronation.
Meghan's spokesperson has addressed the speculation about her absence, stating that she is focused on the present and not thinking about the correspondence from two years ago.
The spokesperson has also called on tabloid media and royal correspondents to stop creating an "exhausting circus" around the situation.
Meghan will not attend the coronation, while her husband, Prince Harry, will.
The coronation is on May 6, the fourth birthday of Meghan and Harry's son Archie Harrison.
Despite not attending, Meghan and Harry were featured in the souvenir program for the event, which included a portrait of them alongside other members of the royal family.
Prince George, son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, will be one of the Pages of Honour in the procession for the coronation.
